BIO
Pedrinho Augusto is a drummer, percussionist, and educator born in Brasília, Brazil, with over 20 years of experience in various areas of the music industry and music education. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Brasília, a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Louisville (USA), and was awarded a full scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Contemporary Performance at Berklee College of Music (Spain).
His world-class versatility and musicality are confirmed by the diversity of artists he has had the honor of working with, including Gilberto Gil, Dominguinhos, Victor Wooten, Michael League, Jovino Santos Neto, Banda Magda, Thiago Espírito Santo, Gabriel Grossi, Ellen Oléria, Pedro Martins, Michael Pipoquinha, among many others. He has recorded more than 120 phonograms across more than 30 albums, EPs, and/or singles. Throughout his career as an educator, he has given several workshops and courses at universities, music schools, and conferences throughout the Americas and Europe.
He recently completed 10 years of an international career as a performer, studio musician, co-producer, and educator. He has performed in the following countries: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Cape Verde, and Andorra. He is currently based in Barcelona, Spain, where he works with several artists, including Marco Poingt, Carolina Alabau, Shakata, Carlos Sarduy, Hugo Arán, and Ramiro Pinheiro. Pedrinho Augusto is a Berklee Valencia's Alumni Ambassador, uses Bosphorus Cymbals, and records remotely via SoundBetter.
